Likely Dem Hold.

Pritzker should be able to crack 60% if he's lucky.

Safe D unless he’s been indicted.  Illinois Democrats know the secret to making its residents happy, spend - spend - spend baby!

Depends on who is President. If it’s Trump, Safe D. If it’s a Democrat, Leans D. Republicans do very well in Illinois in off-years when the President is a Democrat, but awful when the President is a Republican.

Pritzker will most likely get reelected. The IL GOP has a pretty weak bench, so I doubt his challenger will be anyone reputable.

If Trump wins in 2020 it will be Safe D, otherwise I would say Likely D (maybe Lean D if Pritzker is really unpopular)

Safe D, no matter who wins the presidential race. Illinois voted Quinn out not because people actually liked Rauner (they didn't) but because they didn't like him. I remember reading an article days after Rauner was elected where people said, "Oh, crud. Did we really elect him?" or something to that effect.

Pritzker's been smart so far in that he's been a pretty low-key governor. My parents, who live in Illinois, said you heard about Blagojevich, Quinn and Rauner every single day in the news. Pritzker barely gets a single mention.

I've heard that Pritzker also lives in the IL Executive Mansion in Springfield on the weekdays, while commuting to Chicago on the weekends.

Rauner lived in the IL Executive Mansion in Springfield during his tenure including a stay on the State Fairgrounds while the Executive Mansion was undergoing major renovations.

Safe D if Trump is "President", Lean to Likely D if a Dem is President and/or Pritzker gets into legal trouble.

Only way he doesn't get reelected is if he's caught in bed with a dead prostitute.
