NY St 1.) Carl H. McCall (D): NY St Comptroller from May 7th, 1993 to December 31st, 2002: appointed by then-NY St Governor Mario Cuomo (D) in 1993 & elected to full 4-year terms in 1994 & 1998 before losing to then-NY St Governor George Pataki (R) in 2002 Gubernatorial contest.
