If she jumps in, there will be bad optics since she was tasked with investigating Cuomo.

While Hochul benefited from Cuomo's resignation, she largely kept out of the limelight during it.

James should remain as AG until a house or senate seat opens up for her, or Biden (or the Justice Dept) finds an appointment for her.

Will this have any effect on Tish James' AG campaign?

I know Dan Goldman is running in the primary to succeed her.
