Considering how hard Cuomo has cracked down on the possibility of third parties, all he needs to do is win the primary and he’s got the vote. I’m not sure turnout on an off election year will be high enough to encourage people to drop him if he decides to stay.

Cuomo would be eviscerated by the Democrats for running, and lose any and all contacts to have a smooth retirement. No way he does this.

Hochul will still win even if Cuomo ran third party, although it will be a disappointing victory.

Alright, I can’t forgive Hawkins for running this low energy campaign even with him being unfairly barred from the ballot and running as a write-in.
