Would be great to see Teachout run again, though she is another figure who probably can't afford another loss.

Some people say that Alessandra Biaggi is trying to be Lt. Governor, but she is controversial.

Is it true?

She has branded herself as an AOC-style progressive (though I don't think she identifies as a socialist), but there is skepticism of her among the grassroots left due to coming from a well-established political family and having been a staffer for the likes of Crowley, the Brooklyn DA, Hillary Clinton's Presidential campaign, and a fairly long stint in Cuomo's office on his counsel team.

A bit disappointing to see one of the most effective state AG's in my lifetime vacate her office for what will be a major uphill battle. Hopefully her successor (ideally Teachout) is able to continue her great work.

Big wildcard here - experienced in a political setting but untested as a candidate, good resume but very little charisma, strong anti-Trump credentials but potential prosecutorial history that could be problematic in a Dem primary.

Now that I've seen a tweet from Nick Gourevitch in an Atlas thread I know I've seen everything.

(Not a comment on the debate that I didn't watch or either candidate's performance)

This makes the fight over Hector LaSalle look even more psychotic. Maybe she saw the party's reaction to Wisconsin and wanted in on it.
