One of the smallest races that i'm having the most fun following is the AK-HD-89 Race which features freshman democrat Megan Godfrey vs Republican Jeddiah Duggar.

The Duggar family is the most famous for taking part in a fundie reality show that showed their extremely religious way of life complete with home-schooling, siblings having to share-rooms until marriage, total prohibition on female dating without a chaperone. As a 21-year-old he along with his twin Brother were moved to an apartment in the district to challenge Godfrey who only won by 28 votes in 2018 against a republican incumbent.

The race is fun thanks to the disparity in the experience of the candidates and how it's attracted a vocal community to follow it.

Fun stuff. I was wondering if Jed was one of those Duggars. Megan Godfrey has probably got this since Fayetteville is one of the few places in Arkansas that is trending Democratic.

Why do you say that? Godfrey knocked off an incumbent Republican in 2018; seems quite plausible she wins reelection.

The seat is very tightly drawn around the urban core (such as it is) of the city of Springdale. AR State House seats only have about 30,000 residents so a tiny voter pool, very local elections.

I'm not from NWA but from what I hear it's the seat of the Wallmart HQ and is a bit more progressive than the rest of the region. Pretty sure there are quite a few business republicans who wouldn't want a person most famous for being one of 19 children in a reality tv show to be their representative.

CNalysis has this as a Lean D seat. This is region of the state that is actually trending to the left.

I'm following most of my local races. The one I'm concerned about is SD-12, considering there's a QAnon guy running there.

Takes a lot of arrogance to be an uneducated 21 year old who's never had a job and can't hug a girl and think you deserve to  make laws for others.

Florida State Senate district 3: a female, black ex cop and Minister running against a career politician from a political dynasty in an R trending Clinton +7 seat centered in Tallahassee but with a sizable rural black and Dixiecrat population. Both sides spending $$ here and the republican has great ads.

My NYS Assembly race is a pretty nice contrast.

The incumbent Monica Piga Wallace is a sort of odd mix between Blue Dog Democrat and Progressive. She speaks about some Progressive-leaning issues, but most of her policies are Blue Dog-leaning. However, she's quite passionate about Abortion (quite late in the term), which doesn't go over that well in this socially-conservative, quite-Catholic part of Erie County. She's also lost a lot of support for her refusal to disavow Black Lives Matter and the like after the George Floyd protests got violent.

Frank Smierciak is a really young guy (early 30s or so?), sort of a Cruz/Rubio kind of Republican. His social values match quite well with this part of the County, but his policies are quite NeoConservative and try really hard to hit all the Trump talking points. If he ran a more moderate campaign, I'd have him winning.

But Piga Wallace probably wins by 5-10 points.

You forgot to mention that the family lost the original show "19 Kids and Counting" when it came to light that the older son, Josh Duggar, had molested some of his younger sisters when he was 14 and the parents covered it up. TOLC promptly dumped Josh and the parents and now have a show mostly focused on the older kids now, some of whom are starting to rebel against the family. Juicy stuff.

The Duggars are some of the creepiest people ever to achieve D list celebrity status.
Hope he loses and it isn’t close. I mean this is the only part of Arkansas that’s really swinging away from the Republicans and I don’t think running a disgraced fundie family’s forgotten child is really helping their situation there.

he lost in a landslide, 15 point margin loss compared to 20 vote difference when she ran in 2018.

Ok so the Duggar Family's pride and joy Josh is currently on Trial for Child Pornography and the Patriarch Jim Duggar is running in the dem trending but still very republican senate district 7 special election, with one challenger who is seemingly a normal republican evangellical veteran

Jim Duggar actually ran for senate in 2002 against incumbent Hutchinson…

Imagine Duggar, a senator…

Consider how differently he would be received if he were a black guy with 18 siblings, who didn't go to college and who sold used cars for a living.
