What If Bill Clinton Was the VP Nominee?

Let's not debate here whether John Kerry would pick him or not. Let's also not debate here whether it would be legal or not per the Constitution.
Assume Kerry wants him as a running mate, and that there would be no constitutional crisis.
Question: Would John Kerry/Bill Clinton defeat George W. Bush/Dick Cheney? Debate it.

a lot of people fondly recall the days of budget surpluses and relative peace.
some of the crimes perpetrated by the current regime make bills hummer look quaint by comparison.

I'm not really sure if he'd do more harm or good to Kerry's campain. All I know is that Bush should drop Cheney and pick McCain or Lieberman for VP.

Bush would pound away at Clintons dozens of scandals. He has had the most scandal ridden administration since Harry S Truman. Clinton would hurt Kerry more then help him. States like Arkansas and Louisiana would not vote for a stuck up nose from the east like John kerry, even with Clinton.
