A group of "concerned" voters speak out on their thoughts of maybe possible fraud somewhere

https://www.wkyt.com/content/news/Group-of-voters-share-their-concerns-on-governors-race-564769502.html

Quote
"We've heard complaints. We've heard about record turnout, yet I haven't talked to a single person in Fayette County who waited in line anywhere to vote despite record turnout. Things just don't add up. As voters, we want to know what is going on. As voters, we want to know [if] anyone is looking into this," said Erika Calihan, a concerned voter.

The group says they hoped to talk about specific evidence at the news conference, but they were not able to do that.

These people really should be locked up.

Stopped reading after "record turnout".

These concerned women think 40% turnout is "record high" ... LOL.

The statewide re-canvass is scheduled for tomorrow.

A re-canvass is not a recount ... read more here:

Bevin is still talking about this as if he can still be the winner. What a sore loser. Maybe it's good for the KY Republican party to get rid of him in the long run. Cameron could be a good candidate to take on Beshear in 2023 and would keep the 'AG running for governor' streak going.

I think what blows my mind about this is how lazy it is.  It almost as if it's an Onion man on the street bit.

Yes. These so-called concerned voters are obviously a bunch of Bevin campaign supporters / workers. Didn't anyone have the nominal amount of journalistic insight ask this question. It's not like they met up on Facebook and called the press conference

Honestly this is the correct take 120%. If I was a Kentucky Republican, I'd just shut this embarrassing and crappy chapter and not make Beshear taking office difficult and say hasta la vista to Bevin forever and try to forget it ever happened. Then I'd make sure Beshear was a sitting duck who does nothing for 4 years and then gets defeated. And then make sure to not nominate incompetent idiots like Bevin in the future and hold KY for a long time. The end.

It does seem like most Republicans are intent on cutting Bevin loose once the re-canvass is over, since even they can tell he's a liability.

I don’t think McConnell is too unhappy about Bevin losing. Republicans swept all the other statewide offices, his protégé Cameron won easily, and he won’t be dragged down by Bevin's unpopularity in 2020.

The only change in the recanvass  is one county that missed a write in vote for Blackii Effing Whyte which brought his total to 46 votes, which means he still loses to Beshear...and Bevin lost too.

KY SOS website says that after a recanvass of 115/120 counties, no irregularities or votes were made in error save for a write-in.

Deep state just got deeper, fellas!

So I guess it's not 1899 in Kentucky again after all. Small victories.

Republicans weren't backing up his shenanigans, so this isn't surprising. Still good news, though. Bye, Felicia!

Thank God, democracy prevails.

Quote
An incensed Democratic majority in the Kentucky General Assembly created a committee to investigate the charges of voter fraud, even as armed citizens from heavily Republican eastern Kentucky poured into the state capital under auspices of keeping Democrats from stealing the election. Before the investigative committee could report, Goebel was shot by an unknown assassin while entering the state capitol on January 30, 1900. As Goebel lay in a nearby hotel being treated for his wounds, the committee issued its report recommending that the General Assembly invalidate enough votes to give the election to Goebel. The report was accepted, Taylor was deposed, and Goebel was sworn into office on January 31. He died three days later on February 2.

I've heard of moving the goalposts, but this is like placing them up in the 300 section.

You could also say that KY is a blue state by virtue of a plurality of its voters being registered to the Democratic Party - if that's what he means.

I see Bevin is preparing to become the face of South Dakota's anti-meth campaign.
