Yeah, if a popular incumbent Democrat who's pro-life might lose in Louisiana, Beshear isn't coming close to winning. My prediction of 54-43 might even be too generous to him.

Quote
In this year’s governor’s race, Bevin and his surrogates have largely abandoned economic issues in the last weeks of the campaign and have focused almost exclusively on social issues like abortion and trying to instill fear in voters with pictures of scary Latino gang members.

And it just might be working.

But Atlas told me that Democrats lose because they spend too much time on SJW identity politix and not enough time on "kitchen table issues" and "bread and butter issues!" That's why they lose the "WWC" and Appalachia!

Atlas #populists Purple heart just got #triggered

Shhhh... Don't ruin the talking point that we're ivory tower elitists for having the audacity to suggest that xenophobia/race has anything to do with rural voters in places like Kentucky voting Republican. Wink

Just in case anyone actually thinks that I "love" Bevin, I don't. I can assure you that no other left-wing poster predicting a big win for Bevin does. I would be thrilled to be completely wrong about this race, and I'd happily eat some crow-filled humble pie with a side of KFC if Beshear were to somehow win. However, I'll believe Kentucky electing a Democrat in 2019 when I see it.

It does seem like most Republicans are intent on cutting Bevin loose once the re-canvass is over, since even they can tell he's a liability.

Republicans weren't backing up his shenanigans, so this isn't surprising. Still good news, though. Bye, Felicia!

I've heard of moving the goalposts, but this is like placing them up in the 300 section.
