A rural area shortly outside a medium-sized city--far enough for people not to build apartment buildings near me but not too far to be an easy commute. Both strong winters and strong summers, with average temperatures being slightly cooler than the national average. The local government doesn't treat me like I'm not a person to "own the libs". Somewhere in the northwest, maybe.

Probably an unpopular opinion but this is one of the worst things about where I live, the neighbors think they have some kind of right to know you and be in your business and I'm like ugh leave me alone.

Living somewhere with "friendly" people is the worst. One of the best things about the city is the anonymity imo.

If you could take Williamson County, but make the summers a little less humid and the winters 65 degrees instead of 50, that would be perfect.
