Interesting question to ask now I think. We had a bunch then but I can't see many now.

Also to clarify because I know a lot of people will not understand this: Lieberman WAS not the equivalent of someone like Josh Gottheimer today. He was an open cheerleader of the Bush Admin's Iraq War policy which not only had the general public turned sharply against was also opposed by almost every other Democrat in Congress, even most of the then somewhat sizable conservadem contingent in Congress who were to the right of Joe Manchin were mostly calling for things like a clear withdrawal timetable or saying they regretted their votes for the war. Lieberman was more supportive of it than most Republicans in Congress.

Before anyone says me, no I literally did not at the time. I remember it well. I hated Lieberman. Still not a fan, to put it mildly.

I was going to say you but I’ve been pre-emptively proven wrong!

GMac, S019, and Ray Goldfield are all good answers

I'm not completely sure about Ray Goldfield, at least for today. He certainly would have supported Lieberman at the time given the party he was affiliated with, but Ned Lamont isn't exactly a Squad type.

I wonder whether that would be the stance of actual Barry Goldwater as well.

Not a surprise. You are a Democrat first and a neolib second.
