I am proud to endorse my old friend and colleague AG!

Happy to officially endorse your campaign. It is frightening to me that many of the same mistakes of the past are now rearing their ugly head, and it is imperative that we do not set our nation back 5 years by subscribing to this idea that we need more offices. How quickly we forget 2015.

I am truly floored to have such an independent and diverse array of campaign supporters, including conservatives and liberals, former Presidents and new players, and everybody in between! Thanks so much!

If I'm reelected to the House, I plan to reintroduce the Your Employees Must Be Legal Residents Act. Given your answers in the debate, if in some hopefully likely event we have competent legislators who will support this bill next Congress, would this be a measure you would support and sign into law?

If I'm reelected to the House, I plan to reintroduce the Your Employees Must Be Legal Residents Act. Given your answers in the debate, if in some hopefully likely event we have competent legislators who will support this bill next Congress, would this be a measure you would support and sign into law?

In my view, your bill doesn't go far enough. Why focus on federal contractors when we can address the ongoing situation with every employer breaking the law in Atlasia?

Granted, it might be more punitive than my approach for a small segment of contractors and businesses - especially those with large contracts relative to the number of people they employ - but I'm also curious about the figures regarding this specific problem. I would imagine the rate of undocumented employment among businesses that receive federal contracts is considerably smaller than among businesses at-large.

I would need to see estimates from the Game Moderator before making a final judgment call on this bill one way or another. I intend for my Presidency to be about solving big issues and addressing big concerns; it is my opinion that Congress is and generally always has been too filled with piecemeal and tiny revisions to policy and law; quantity of legislation over quality. I would personally like to see the queue thinned out and more debate focused on major policy reforms, even if that means fewer pieces of legislation passed. Too often, the measurement of legislative success in Atlasia is built upon the number of bills passed or how many votes people show up for - which has often led to third grade-level policy.

I'll also take this opportunity to address some of your concerns focused on this bill that were addressed at me and others in the debate commentary thread. You may remember not long ago when I said that you reminded me of myself - except that unlike me (somebody who has been hostile in the past in this game), you remain to this day hostile not only in this game, but across the forum and on off-site platforms as well. I'm not casting judgment when I say this, but the short answer is that a lot of people just don't like you, including many in positions of power, and you burned away a lot of your previous goodwill. When someone tends to be abrasive in both in-game and out-of-game mediums, it makes it difficult to work outside of friendly camps with others (something that even at the height of my Nasty Bastardom - which, contrary to popular belief, you don't remember - I never lacked skill in).

Your legislation was likely opposed to the extent that it was due to this dynamic, pure and simple. I imagine a similar situation would arise with a similar congressional constituency and a YT presidency. I, however, am a Glorious Leader who can bring all sides of the debate together and rein in the excesses that emerge when various groups don't like each other on a personal level (remember, I literally built a new game with a supermajority conservative Senate and a 60% conservative game during my presidential tenure after years of conservatives fighting me tooth and nail on those same reforms!).

In short, you are likely as a member of Congress to accomplish more legislatively with a Griffin Presidency that agrees with you 20% of the time (regardless of congressional composition) than with a YT Presidency that agrees with you 85% of the time and a left-of-center majority Congress.

Would you support a constitutional amendment prohibiting conscription?

Being non-interventionist to the teeth and anti-draft as well, supporting provisions that prevent involuntary service is only sensible - whether it be via statute or amendment. Besides the fact that long gone are the days where land wars needing millions of soldiers are the reality, it is a basic violation of human rights to allow the state to force its citizens to die on its behalf.
