The party switching fat billionaire easily defeats the #populist firebreathing military veteran.

Justice would win, as he is:
A - An incumbent Governor with net-positive approvals.
B - In a state that Trump will win by a margin somewhere in the range of 40%.

That said, Ojeda might as well go for it if he doesn't feel like retiring. There's little to no point in running for WV-3 again and I heavily doubt his ability to win his old State Senate district back after Miller thumped him on his own turf.

That wouldn't end well.

Even Justice underperformed immensely despite being a DINO against a lightweight.

Why would Ojeda even want to be governor?

So he can veto the Republican legislature's bills, only to have them override his veto with a simple majority?

Ojeda's best bet is to run for Manchin's seat in 2024

It will hinge on Ojeda's position on blacks kneeling during the anthem.

Justice would clean Ojeda's clock, but I'd be fine with that, because Manchin would probably not run for Governor if Ojeda was in the race.

Ojeda would most likely lose the governor's race, but it is probably his best option if he wants to remain in politics.

He'd be the Democrats' strongest candidate.

I wonder if Justice will have a Republican Primary.  Not every Republican is crazy about his switching back to the GOP.

He already has a Republican opponent, Woody Thrasher, who he appointed Commerce Secretary and then later fired for poor oversight of FEMA money from the 2016 floods.  Which continue to have poor oversight and the Feds have been investigating and officials at the municipal level have been arrested by the Feds.  The Feds are also investigating Justices's resort/golf tournament (which we know are fronts for  organized crime in the Trump era).  The Feds are also investigating the inability of Justice's many shell companies to make payments on the many lawsuits they've lost in VA, WV, and KY.  Justice is basically a fatter more corrupt version of Trump if that were possible, but it is WV so Justice will be hard to beat.

Ojeda should sit this one out. He should run for Senate, once Manchin retires
