This is an absolutely impressive writeup, and the detail is everything one could have asked for. Well done!

I know the focus for 2008 will be on the presidential election, but I'll just put it out here that another breakdown of House/Senate/gubernatorial results of this quality would be literal catnip. Especially if a certain Louisiana Republican also defies the national environment in this timeline by winning a heavily Democratic district in New Orleans.

Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy.

Have I mentioned that this timeline is absolutely superb? I really should have done that earlier.

Only fitting that the one to strike the next blow against Hastert should be the all-powerful God-Emperor Neil Abercrombie, who I trust is in full control of the situation.

Less flippantly, I got goosebumps reading this.

This kind of feels like a proto-2020 field on the Democratic side, if I’m being honest.

Hillary = Biden (frontrunner in danger of being eclipsed)
Obama = Sanders (big, enthusiastic base)
Feingold = Warren (progressive bona fides)
Gore = ?? Maybe Harris?
Locke = Yang
Napolitano = Gillibrand (women’s issues candidate)
Edwards = Booker (good on paper, but struggling)

I wonder how Democrats will do in Barrow's open seat considering it nearly flipped in RL 2006. Probably they hold it with reduced margins.

I believe Matt Blunt is Roy's son, not his brother.
