The Republican Party is seen as the party of rural, white conservative males in the South and the Midwest.

Dick Cheney fits that role. Older, white, conservative. Personally cold. Not charismatic, no pizzazz, safe, but knows government in and out. Likes outdoor activities.

Who is the poor man/woman's Dick Cheney?
