The New York GOP needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.  The whole state is just going down the toilet under the Democrats who call themselves Democrats, and the Democrats who call themselves Republicans.

How can you say that? The governor is A REPUBLICAN!!! Stop blaming us, Dems aren't in power in Albany.

I like Weld, but I still think Spitzer will win. What about that joke Mary Donahue, what the hell has she been doing for 12 years, sitting in a basement? If she had ever been seen in public she could be a candidate.

I supported Golisano in 2002 so this would be a tough choice for me if I lived in NY State.

Spitzer was great on the Colbert Report last week, not awkward at all like many politician interviews.

This is a bit of an unrelated question, but since her name is being thrown about, I will ask it: which Democrat is most likely to run against Mary Donohue for Lt. Governor, and what are Mary Donohue's chances in remaining Lt. Governor against that Democratic challenger?

Can no one answer this question?

Like I implied in my post above, no one knows anything about Mary Donohue, I have literally never heard anything about her except seen her name listed. I certainly hear about my state's LT-Gov. (Kevin Sullivan) and MA's (Kerry Healy) so its not that the post is completely unimportant. There has been no news about a Dem running for the spot yet that I know of.

kerry healy will be a terrible candidate for governor in mass.  ugh.

I've seen that Healy doesn't accept a salary, just like Brigham.....I mean Mitt Romney, is she very wealthy too?

As long as Romney is gone and their candidate is not a reactionary like him, I'd have no problem with the Republicans keeping the MA gov's seat. Jane Swift and William Weld would be much better than the current Governor.
