I think this board should have a stickied mega thread where people post Timeline Ideas they want to see. This can help people who are unsure of what TL they wanna write to decide on an idea.

Honestly, I think its rather horrifying to think about the fact that Adolf Hitler probably came closer to uniting the entire planet under his control than any other leader of any County in world history.

I'm thinking of doing something with the 1992 Democratic primaries.

-President Barry Goldwater
-Pat Buchanan upsets Bush in 1992
-Trump runs in 2012
-Jack Kemp is the nominee in 1988

There are already at least two of these timelines; one (A Different Path, Chapter 2: Vice, Virtue, and Independence by yours truly) that ends poorly for Barry and one (A Different Republican Icon by Old School Republican) that goes much better.

Quote
-Trump runs in 2012
Plenty of these already, including ones where Obama loses ‘08 and Trump runs for the Democratic nomination in ‘12

Quote
-Hillary primaries Obama in 2012
IIRC Sanchez had a timeline where Trump runs for the GOP nomination in 2012 AND Hillary primaries Obama but I don’t think he finished it.

- 2020 if Clinton won in 2016
- B. Clinton is removed from office
- Schwarzenegger presidency
- 2004 if Al Gore wins 2000
- Cruz presidency
- 2024 after two terms of H. Clinton
- 1976 if Reagan ousts Ford
- No Reagan
- No Obama or Clinton in 2008

We already had multiple Hillary wins 2016 TL, and I dont think No Palin wouldnt change much in 2008. The Tea party i think had more to do with the Economic Crash and the Bailouts than Palin.

Kasich third party I had a mini TL with a similar premise of a Rise of a Centrist Third Party with it going from 2016-2024 but had to abandon it as even doing a mini TL with my A Different Republican Icon(I am hoping to resuming it by at the very latest Monday) took too much of my time. I could bring that back but I can only do it if someone is interested in co-writing that TL with me.

As for Kasich third party in itself I dont think it would do much in 2016 other than guarantee Hillary win so that TL would basically be a Hillary wins 2016 TL.

Some ideas

1. Ric Flair runs for NC Governor in 2000 (He actually considered it, OTL)

2. Evan Bayh runs for the D Nomination in 2004 and wins, defeating Dubya in the General

3. Richard Lugar runs third Party in 2012 IN Senate Election

4. Condolezza Rice runs for and wins the R Nomination in 2008 and barely defeats Obama in the general

5. Allen doesn't say Macaca in 2006

6. Grant dies before the 1868 Election, thus leading to a Radical Republican getting into office

7. Reagan gets the R Nomination in 1976 due to the help of Senator Schweiker but Buckley and Helms forms a Hard Right Conservative Third Party and runs against them and Ford, fearful of what may happen, runs for the Libertarian Party and selects Howard Baker to be his running mate. Meanwhile, Carter barely loses the 1976 Democratic Presidential Nomination to Scoop Jackson but the Wallacites refuse to accept and Wallace reluctantly accepts to run as an alternative to Scoop. This means 1976 would be Reagan/Schweiker (R) v Jackson/Bentson (D) v Buckley/Helms (C) v Ford/Baker (L) v Wallace/McKeithen (I).

I feel like Ford would do a little better as an independent compared to a libertarian.

1. Gore 2016
2. Conor's fate (Conor Lamb's path from Representative to President)

I'm currently making a 2024 Senate County Map for Atlas Server on Discord. Should I modify it for an Election Night TL once finished?

I don't have time to start another one, but this would be interesting: American Independent ticket gets elected in 1968 and George Wallace tries to reinstate segregation. However, he is shot shortly after the inauguration. Vice President Curtis LeMay takes over and uses nukes in 'Nam.

President Romney in 2008, with him beating John Kerry who was elected in 2004
Bush Junior becomes MLB commissioner, some timeline with some other Republican winning in 2000 (Forbes?)
Trump running for democratic nomination in 2004, he was a registered democrat at the time
