It must shock many people on here that you can both oppose dictators, and oppose regime change.

They're too busy doing whatever Mohammad bin Salman wants to understand that.

Sanders should just issue a one sentence statement along the lines of, "A state party that just lost 2 statewide races in a wave year and has not won the governorship since 1994 has no grounds for lecturing me on what is and what is not good politics."

That would be a terrific response from an independent trying to receive the Democratic nomination for President. It would do him a whole lot of good.

FL-27 is literally the only House seat in the country where I would vote Republican in 2020.

That’s a bit ironic since I don’t think an avowed socialist with a history of praising Fidel Castro would have any better success in Florida than even Florida Dems have had.

If I recall most on Atlas kept saying Shalala was "blowing it" (another stupid term that needs to be retired) and would lose the seat. It didn't happen. But that aside, this is a real issue in South Florida and it's not unreasonable for Democrats there to want to get in front of it.

That's not why I hate her.

I hate her because she's a f[inks]ing disgusting, union busting piece of sh!t. Plus she sold a bunch of land that housed an endangered ecosystem and plant life to build a f[inks]ing WAL-MART.

In real life nobody cares but political operatives and consultants who have a vested interest in grifting money from gullible campaign managers will make a big deal about it.

Sanders could be caught with a live boy/dead girl and you'd still say the same thing.

Substitute "Hillary" for "Sanders" and I could say the same about you.

It's pretty telling that a Trump fanatic like Fuzzy rushed to defend Sanders.

That pretty much says nothing. The fact that establishment Dems were praising Bush 43 not long ago says a lot though.

Had I known the ugliest House member was going up against this absolute smokeshow from Telemundo, I'd have endorsed GOP for this House seat right away:

Can we stop pretending these morons know what socialism is?
They wouldn’t know what socialism is if you gave it to them in an orange package.
Let’s just lie and conflate the GOP with socialism as well.

Corporate Dems' impotent whining about the left is the only silver lining to this disastrous downballot performance.

How about you try not to suck at campaigning before blaming other people for your failures?

Maybe if FL Dems hadn't decide an intraparty war was a good idea, Biden may have actually won it.

No. If they'd actually tried to win the state, the FDP would probably have gotten their county officials to botch ballot design in a manner that ultimately widened Trump's margin, somehow.

Shalala was an absolute trash candidate, while Salazar was an exceptional one. Shalala barely won in 2016 even tho Hillary won it by 20 points. She's an old has been who should have let new blood come forward.

Dems were already doomed in FL, due to fact Obama wanted to lift the Cuban embargo anyways.

Alot pollsters thought that PR statehood was gonna Trump the Cuban embargo and it didn't, Latinos still voted Trump.

D's have a better shot at OH than FL in 2024, due to Sherrod Brown

Cuban embargo needs to be lifted should Biden achieve the Trifecta, NKorea is our advarsary not Cuba anylonger

We can always place it back if it doesn't work
