I couldn't begin to actually decide on a favorite genre. But my favorite guilty pleasure genre is Italo Disco.

This song Aliens and the following commentary sums up everything I love about the genre:

"Heavily euro-accented lazy English – check. Difficult to transcribe lyrics about oddball themes - check. Absurd hairstyles, outfits and dance moves – check, hard hitting synth overload – check. This is Italo Disco in its purest form. It’s two Italians standing next to a fake R2D2 with arms taking themselves really seriously talking about aliens, which they pronounce “ALYENS.” What more do you f**king want?"

Trance and techno, I guess that falls under Electronic? I especially listen to a lot of trance from the past 20 years and then lots of 90s techno
