IMO Biden critics are massively failing at expectations management at the debates. People keep saying Biden will bomb or drop at the debates, which means that if Biden manages to be noncontroversial and boring and doesn't flame out, he wins. Biden beats debate expectations etc. Why don't people write sbout how scared they are that Ace Debater Joe Biden will slice his opponents into sashimi with his mastery of facts and logic, so they can talk about him disappointing at the debate?
Expecting him to not bomb or not be controversial is like expecting a fish to climb up a tree. Ill put money that Bernie, Kamala and Warren to man handle him during the debates. I still don't get the liberal appeal for him other than the fact he was Obama's second in command which past the fanatic nostalgic feels of the Obama fetishists isn't much

Slurrin Joe in the news again showing us his impeccable judgment:

I guess he was the original Susan Collins...

He is awful and will serve as a detriment to any forward progress for people in this country. He’s more worried about finding humanity in the opposition than protecting the marginalized groups who will overwhelmingly back him.

And what is Donald Trump??

I would expect to see this from someone who glorifies Eugene McCarthy--a man who because of his "principles" wouldn't endorse Hubert Humphrey in 1968 until it was too late.

McCarthy's lack of endorsement didnt matter as most Mccarthy voters were actually hawks who wouldn't of supported Humphrey anyway:

Quote
The myth of Eugene McCarthy’s New Hampshire crusade (and, somewhat related, the mystique of the New Hampshire presidential primary) has endured through the ages. To be sure, what his student army accomplished was remarkable. But did the results suggest a repudiation of the war in Vietnam? Not exactly. Exit polls suggested that a majority of McCarthy’s New Hampshire voters thought of themselves as hawks. They were unhappy with Johnson, but because he hadn’t escalated the war effort further, and they picked McCarthy to register their displeasure. The president’s private polling revealed that 55 percent of McCarthy’s supporters favored the bombing campaign against North Vietnam; only 29 percent opposed it.

Now amyway....who the hell is Eugene McCarthy?!

This thread is increasingly becoming petty and desperate.

That was in March 1968--and it's true that many McCarthy votes in the NH primary were hawkish.  He received about 5000 votes on the Republican side (in addition to the 23,000 he received on the Democratic side).

But I seriously doubt by the time of the DNC in Chicago in summer 1968 that McCarthy held any hawkish support.  An earlier and/or more enthusiastic endorsement of Humphrey that year could have made the difference and saved the country and world from Richard Nixon.

The ONLY effective attack on Biden is that he's old and about to die. After the Hillary campaign though, Democrats seem squeamish about bringing up health issues. If someone actually does call Biden out, he'll probably retort by calling them a conspiracy theorist and this may make them shut up. They should power through and call him out anyway. It is the only attack that will be effective.

Voters don't care that he wanted to put crack dealers in jail 30 years ago.
Voters don't care that he didn't want to make black kids go to white schools 40 years ago.
Voters do not care that he has engaged in platitudes about how some Republicans are nice people (which Obama did too and which any future Democratic president likely will as well)

Voters MIGHT care that he can barely speak and barely hold his head up.

It's more that Sanders and to a lesser extent Warren can't credibly make that argument. Warren's probably fine, tbh, even though she's 69 and will be 70 by election day that's basically the new 50 now, apparently. The Sanders camp cannot credibly go after Biden on his age.

God, Jesus, Mother Mary, and Joseph save us from this clown

What Joe Biden said is absolutely correct and true. At least a couple of Republican Senators are going to work with a hypothetical Biden administration. Without those couple of Republican Senators, a hypothetical Biden administration will not be able to pass legislation.

A couple of Republican Senators will be necessary for ANY hypothetical Democratic administration to pass legislation.

Not true. The House is already gone, and it's a good map to flip The Senate. All Schumer has to do is rip away the last remnants of the filibuster and take no-prisoners at that point.

Actually, the whole "bipartisan" angle could be the downballot suicide that prevents the flip. Just like when Hillary ended up throwing Feingold and McGutless under the bus.

Joe Biden thinks his presidency will cure cancer.  He's a sociopath that will say anything to win the presidency.  The same as Hillary Clinton - a known criminal that most Democrats think will be an adequate candidate to win the most precious office in our country.

Not at all.   I'm actually pretty happy that the Democrats are going to elect someone way more incompetent than Trump.  Literally the most incompetent geriatric to ever run for President since McCain.

LMAO.

Also, everything the OP used to inaccurately describe Biden and Hillary can be used to accurately describe Donald Trump.
