Joe please just announce you are putting your hat in the ring for VP. I really don't want to see him crash and burn.

If Biden runs, my exact feeling will be "how many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?!"

I see what you did there.

You really think he'd accept VP again? Or any other candidates would offer it?

If ends up as the nominee, I could see this map (not the most likely path, but possible):

✓ Former Vice President Joseph R. Biden (D-DE)/Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA): 329 EV. (51.74%)
President Donald J. Trump (R-NY)/Vice President Michael R. Pence (R-IN): 209 EV. (45.26%)

California is already a shoo-in for Biden (even without Harris).
Throw O'Rourke in there instead, and let's go for Texas!

There are legitimate reasons to think Biden may flame out, and fair enough if you think so, but citing his previous runs isn't all that much of an argument given he's now a former VP which makes the situation a bit different.

Gotta agree with this x100

Biden's campaign flopped because he was a no-name Senator who got the leftovers in staffing his campaign, not because of anything with his personality or image (other than lack thereof).

That said he's waited a long-ass time to announce and every week he delays the inevitable is time the high quality campaign managers have to consider other options.

Do you mean Senator Kamala D. Harris (D-CA) or Senator Kamala L. Harris (D-CA)? I can't tell because you left out the middle initial.

I have a hard time believing Biden would win that decisively, but even if he did win the PV by 6.5%, that almost certainly wouldn't be enough to flip Ohio, and probably wouldn't be enough to flip Iowa, either. I'm also not sure he'd do better in North Carolina than Florida.

Dear Mr. Vice President Biden

Let me begin by first of all thanking you for your extraordinary service to the nation.

Your record of accomplishments is indeed impressive.

Now let us get on to 2020.

2020 is going to be one of the toughest most contentious elections in U.S. history.

For me, your hesitancy about announcing your candidacy is troubling.

It can be interpreted as being indecisive, a trait we do not need nor want in a U.S. President.

I do not believe you should enter the contest.

Your time has passed.

A new generation in the Democratic Party is coming to the fore.

I have seen you on CNN just this week, with a clip of you addressing an audience.

I have to say, from what I saw, I do not believe you have the stamina to compete in this election.

Please enjoy your retirement, and leave 2020 to the new generation of Democrats.

Sincerely

Winfield

Democrats need new ideas, not necessarily a new generation. Beto and Kamala are human garbage.

If Joe Biden doesn't run, liberals can have fun dragging the party to the left and then moving to the center and being labeled as flip-flopped I'm the GE

The GOP love to praise Biden on the forum and in the political world. Saying he is much better than Harris.

Biden wasn't around much as Veep, aside from debate and fundraising when election time came and went

Sure I have. So what?  Why should your “severe denunciations” of Trump now be taken any more seriously than your “severe denunciations” of Trump back in 2016? We all know that you’ll condemn his behavior along with all the other “very concerned” republicans right up until it’s time for you to reward Trump’s behavior with votes once again.

If he gets the nomination just watch as they find reasons to abandon him and vote for Trump anyway.

So much burning hate for anyone who isn't a narrow slate of candidates isn't healthy, you know.
