Gabbard says she won't participate even if she qualifies.

Monmouth gives Bloomberg his first qualifying poll.  Of course, he has no chance of getting enough polls by the deadline, plus not taking donations means it's all moot anyway.

I love that Gabbard not only will likely miss the debates, but that she got less than 1 percent in this Monmouth poll.

A 6 person debate will be incredibly refreshing and I hope candidates take more time to get into actual substantive policy debates than the garbage we've seen thus far.

She has until December 12th at around 11:59 PM EST to get one more poll of at least 4% from a qualifying pollster that isn't from UNH, Quinnipiac's NH survey or USA Today's national survey.

So realistically, no.

I kind of wish the Democrats did the Kids Table like the Republicans did last time.

Though it would be just Booker and Castro right now (and possibly Bloomberg since he did get one qualifying poll).

Cool, I really hope they go harder after each other. The last two debates were so dull and it's because the Demcorats are too obsessed with this notion of unity, when really they need to be challenged on every front to be prepared for their real challenger (Trump). There are already signs that Biden can't take criticism of his son or the Obama legacy without lashing out at people who dare to challenge him, and more importantly doesn't have a good answer other than some insult or suggestion to vote for his challenger.

This sets up Klobuchar to become the great compromise candidate, able to draw support from all the major constituencies in the party.

She will leave the South with zero delegates. She's not getting the nomination outright nor in a brokered convention.

Who came up with this graph?  I would swap Buttigieg and Klobuchar's spots?

I threw the graph together to illustrate my point, so please ignore the proportions and specific placements. Buttigieg is both more pluralist (support from lgbtq community, highly educated) and more moderate (his mayoral record of weak centrism vs Klobuchar's solidly liberal voting record).

Klobuchar is an amazing human being, but she doesn't have a strong vision for the country or the world. Which makes her far superior to someone like Booker, Biden or Buttigieg, yet far inferior to someone like Sanders or Yang.

Booker has successfully pressured the other candidates into signing a letter calling on the DNC to loosen the debate qualification rules for January, but some of the other campaigns are privately saying that they don't really want the rules loosened:

They should raise the bar to qualify for the Jan/Feb debates, not lower it.

Will Michael Bloomberg, who is polling 5th or 6th in the national polls, be qualified for any of the next Democratic primary debates and will he attend anyone of them?
