Republican women fared very poorly in House elections in 2018: only 13 Republican women sit in the House, the smallest number since 1993-94. Is the field of potential female Republican Presidential candidates shrinking? Will the first woman President be a Democrat? Will the GOP have to significantly realign on many issues before it nominates a woman? Personally, I think the answer to the second anad third questions is, Yes.

The first woman president will be a Democrat, that's obvious. I mean, the Democrats haven't nominated a white male since 2004. They are on a pursuit of identity politics, because they're the "totally progressive and woke, dude" party. Although this isn't what all (or even most) Democrats believe, they have been trying to look more inclusive than the GOP, the party that has consistently ran cisgender heterosexual white males since 1856.

By the time this happens, the Republican party will likely have purged itself of Trumpism/nationalism.

Stefanik in 2028.  Trump loses reelection pretty badly with a weakened economy, she goes for NY-GOV in 2022 and scores a narrow win, becoming de facto leader of the Republican Party.

It would be in 2024 if Nikki Haley won the nomination and she faced a left wing lunatic like Alexandria Ocasio Cortez in the general election.

and by "left-wing lunatic" you mean "one of like six people in congress with respectable political views," right

It's not hard to imagine Nikki Haley defeating an incumbent Democrat in 2024.

Yeah, that's possible, but not very likely. Incumbents usually win re-election, and Nikki Haley would have to win a very competitive Republican primary.

I'm finding it hard to imagine that, seems to me the 2024 Republican nominee will be a Trump cultist because thats where the Republican party is these days. No one with the aura of reasonableness will stand a chance

Democrats, meanwhile, elected the first gay President way back in 1856.

No. His sexuality is disputed, so to say that James Buchanan was gay, straight, or bi is assuming too far.

Haley is definitely the most promising young female R (especially saying she was a governor) but idk if she could get out of a primary.

Since the first 45 presidential nominees of the Democratic Party were white males, it would only be fair that the next 45 (2008-2184) are non-white or non-male.

I doubt New York will ever vote for a Republican governor in the near future, even in a strongly GOP year.

Stefanik has the same problem as someone like Buttigieg; being young politicians in politically hostile states isn't conducive to moving up in the electoral ladder.

Anyway Nikki Haley is the most likely GOP candidate, but I don't see her winning a primary, in 2024 or otherwise. Beyond her the Republican woman bench is pitifully thin.

After 2032. The first female POTUS will be Kamala Harris, a Democrat.

If Trump wins reelection in 2020, then the likeliest GOP nominees in 2024 are Pence or Cotton.  Let's say Republicans actually get three terms in a row due to a good economy/foreign policy crisis in 2024.  Then, a male Democrat (Gavin Newsom?) serves from 2029-37.  That takes us 20 years into the future (3 presidents) without a female president from either party.  The 2020 and 2024 Democratic losers may be women (Harris, Gillibrand?).
