I think that the reaction to him riding a bike at a parking lot a kilometer or two from home was overblown (I remember he did something else that seemed more flagrant though), but he was definitely a liability.

How are the Nationals doing anyway?

Poorly, I’d imagine. They typically lose seats when the special votes are counted. We’ll know in a bit under a week how bad things turn out for them. Collins might stick around for a bit, but I can’t see her leading them in three years’ time. I’m guessing that the Nats will be in shambles for the next three years.

You just hate to see it.

I heard about Davis’s speech and how it was poorly received. Is there any other reason why he’s not taking the Deputy PM position? I get why WINston was Deputy PM last time around.

1. He looks like a bald Bill Clinton

2. He seems to have been made in Grandpa Muldoon’s secret lab to be the perfect leader for National (not that he is or isn’t, just that he’s had upper management written all over him since he entered Parliament).

3. Nicola Willis looks like an older Chlöe Swarbrick.

This news makes me feel guilty for some reason. I love Ardern, but if I were her, no American would set foot in NZ again.

I regret having clicked “unhide” just to see this post.

Tauranga is a safe National seat despite it being close in 2020, though it was Winston Peters' old seat so he could try make a comeback.

God help you if he does. There’s one thing to be said about him, NZ politics is never boring when he’s involved.
