Johnson  : 531 EV, 39,104,856 PV
Goldwater: 007 EV, 19,419,456 PV

Somehow, the simulation put Johnson below 80% in RI, which is a mark he managed to pass in real life, despite Johnson doing much better nationally.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/12ih_FGyivbIrCxGjQlOvrx2GH18QU9kv/view?usp=sharing

If it doesn't show...

270 Democrats
165 Republicans
1 Tie (VA-05, Cockburn and Riggleman at 50%)

Wouldn't the voting issues have been moot in this case since McCready would have won by at least 5?

This is how a Independent third party can win. So, don't let anyone tell you that an Independent can't win the EC.

An independent can't win the EC.

In this case, he can. He's an incumbent president who successfully managed the greatest crisis in history. I'm referring to the TV series of course.

This is not a way that an independent or third party could win.

An independent can't win the EC.

Um.....if there are plenty of disillusioned voters, they can win.

Bronz, can you please describe the platform of the mythical third party candidate that you believe could win this combination of states.

MS was very close in 1976 so I gave it to Reagan as he does better nationwide and especially in the South. With FL and CT Reagan won both in 1980 by landslides however Ford won only CT while Carter won FL relatively comfortably so the margins are narrower in both states but neither flip.
