Apart from the furniture, is Queen Anne of Great Britain the forgotten queen?

Please discuss.

Her reign was relatively stable and prosperous, nobody is interested in stable and prosperous.

It was also relatively short. Combined with the fact that the War of Spanish succession isnt the most popular in current media and its no surprise she's looked over.

Wrong board, but I agree she's underrated.

What board does this belong in, History?

Her story was tragic actually.  Of all the children she had, none outlived her.

Although the history thread does say

Discussion of Presidential elections and U.S. history, and this thread is neither.

Anyway, enough about that.

The Favourite is a great movie and deserves to win Best Picture.

No, that would be the Empress Matilda (although she's not totally forgotten either I suppose). Queen Anne has a fairly decent place in the historical imagination I would guess, mainly because she presided over the War of Spanish Succession and a period when Britain was growing in power, at a time of great writers like Swift and Pope and seriously impressive fashion and grand architecture.
