He'll be back, either for an Indiana Gov run or a US Senate run there.

Buttigieg is not favored to win any higher office in Indiana. His jump to a presidential run was telling in that regard.

A friend of mine who donated to the Buttigieg campaign early on was telling me he got 11 texts yesterday asking for more money; I guess he didn't think he raised enough to continue forward. I'm surprised he's leaving before Amy.

Some people put doing what's best for their country ahead of their own egos, not that Klobuchar would know the first thing about that.

I really don't think he has much of a political future outside of maybe being a Democratic President's Secretary of Veteran's Affairs.

I wish him all the best in the future though. I wasn't his biggest fan but I never disliked him either. It is commendable that he, a mostly unknown candidate, managed to do relatively well in this primary where success was based largely on name recognition. He has definitely inspired more Mayors to run for President in the future. 2024 or 2028 will be rife will them.

I'm not so sure about that. If the subtext of this text from her camp that my mom just forwarded to me is to be believed, then this night is about to be even better for Joe Biden than it already was.

She should've dropped out after Iowa, but we shall see.

Biden's people probably convinced him to drop out to stop Sanders.

Well, to be fair, Super Tuesday was not going to be good for him anyway. He did probably consider stopping Sanders though in his calculation of whether to drop out or not.

WOW--- unexpected, considering that he has had a consistent support base among White Voters of a wide range of Ages, and to some extent economic background and education....

RIP.... Pete was not expecting this at all....

Despite the fact that I viewed him as a bit more hype and style over substance in many ways, despite the fact that he was an historical figure when it comes to not only his openly Gay Male background, and believe that he has a future political career ahead of him as a Centrist Democrat, he was able to not only "Win" IA in terms of State Delegates, plus come close in the POP Vote, place a decent rank in NH among not only DEM voters, but also IND & PUB Voters....

I would not be surprised to see "Mayor Pete" pop back as a DEM PRES contender in 2024 or 2028...

His supporters will not automatically migrate to Biden, but rather splinter off to various other DEM Candidates in the race, and although it was amazing for him to overcome such adversity to make it into the "Top Tier" of Candidates, his coalition was not able to extend to DEM Minority Voters, and most likely his cash was running low....

"Paling up with Biden" as an official statement seems maybe a bit weak and might hurt his '24/'28 PRES Election ambitions.....

He can't win a Senate race in IN, he should move to OH and run for Toomey's seat in 2022.

Because he knows that he doesn't have much of a chance of performing well in any of those states. I appreciate him dropping out now rather than forcing his campaign through Tuesday's contests.

What did he say? Does that mean no Biden endorsement?
