This is more of a general question, but do you think the Federal Council/power sharing system is a good one for Switzerland as opposed to a more standard Prime Minister with a majority coalition? Have people ever talked about the benefits of the "normal' model of governance?

I though the Swiss electrical grid was almost entirely hydro/nuclear to begin with, so would investment in solar even help?

Is there a list of the major party policies/manifesto planks this election?

Trouble is, if the Greens were to replace Cassis wouldn't the Right heavily resist that because it means the SVP-FDP lose their majority?

Could we even see an expansion in the Council?

Is there any more progress on a gay marriage referendum? Gotta be an easy victory for SSM, right?

Is there a constitutional check on referendums in Switzerland? Like, say there was a seriously egregious attack on a minority's civil liberties via referendum, can they appeal to courts, or is the people's decision final?
