The Virginia DOE has election results for the 1988 VA presidential primaries by county on their website.
DEM: http://historical.elections.virginia.gov/elections/view/47564/
GOP: http://historical.elections.virginia.gov/elections/view/47565/
The Jackson/Gore/Dukakis race is especially interesting.

Can these be added to the map/results database?

So Jackson won the Piedmont and Tidewater, Gore won Appalachia, and Dukakis won NOVA? Interesting pattern, though it is what you would expect.
