Which of them could you see running for President in the future? Not who do you want to run, but who you think will run.

Whitmer, DeSantis, Newsom and Polis.

If DeSantis is the future GOP nominee, they may have demographic troubles into the 2030s and 2040s.

Not with African Americans where he lost 93-7 compared to Trumps 2016 loss of 84-8.
He did do quite well amongst Hispanics for a Republican though, lost Hispanics 54-44 compared to Trumps 62-35.

DeSantis, Newsom, and if his voter suppression doesn't undo him, I can see Kemp winning over the Republican base.

The problem is that DeSantis and Newsom are in much better shape for re-election than Kemp is. I’ll grant this to him, he’s played it mostly smart in his very short tenure in office but he’s gonna have an uphill battle in 22.

Definitely DeSantis.

Probably Whitmer, Maybe Polis.

Newsom will probably try at some point but I don't see him getting anywhere.

For the Dems: Newsom, Whitmer, and Polis are the obvious ones.

For the GOP: DeSantis seems like the only real candidate here. Kemp could try to run but he has the voter suppression baggage to deal with. Noem and Reynolds are both near the top of the list for female candidates, but they seem more like VP material.
