I think Warren has gotten the most positive coverage so far in the primary (aside from maybe Buttigieg) and her’s has been almost entirely focused on her policy proposals.

Her fund-raising jumped the moment she came out in favor of impeaching Trump. Maybe this should be a lesson for the other cowardly Democrats. She's been on fire with her policy proposals and bullseye on the financial class and ending the corruption and exploitation that exists in this field.

She has a plan for private equity and the nonsense where they're allowed to rob struggling companies to "save them" but actually load them with debt, charge exorbitant management fees, and pass the buck to employees, customers, and taxpayers.

I still think Biden is the most electable for now, but Warren is a close second, and my support will go to her if Biden does not pan out. Not only does she have the most comprehensive policy portfolio of any candidate besides Yang, but her policies are specifically tailored to the groups democrats need to win in 2020. Her plans for racial equality appeal to African-Americans, her "economic patriotism" is basically what Trump is pretending to do, progressives will have no qualms about coming out for her, etc. The only issue with her is she lacks appeal to Indies, but I think a strong GE campaign could win enough over.

On many economic issues, Donald Trump was further to the left than Hillary Clinton. That's just a fact.

Last time I checked, Warren's plan wouldn't give China openings all over the planet by failing to honor our obligations & starting petty trade fights.

Not sure if being protectionist is necessarily left wing. It's just being wrong.

I'm pretty 'globalist', for whatever that label entails and am seriously considering dropping support for Warren after seeing her trade plan. (I was very not happy with Clinton over her TPP flip-flop as well). Boooo to this level of protectionism. I get the criticism of corporate power having disproportionate influence over our politics, but making it more difficult for other countries to trade with the U.S. for tertiary reasons that should not derail a negotiation from getting started is not the solution.

Quote
Warren’s plans list nine separate criteria a country would have to meet before negotiating a trade deal with the U.S. Those standards include upholding and enforcing the labor rights laid out by the International Labour Organization, eliminating all domestic fossil fuel subsidies, fulfilling commitments from the Paris Climate Agreement, not running afoul of the State Department’s Country Reports on Human Rights, and not being on the Treasury Department’s monitoring list for manipulative currency practices.

Warren wrote that she would only seek expedited trade authority after unanimous approval from labor, consumer, rural and regional advisory committees and would let more congressional committees review such authority. These reforms would significantly slow the trade negotiation process but also bring in voices that Warren believes have been excluded from the process.

Why are people acting like this is a surprise? It was already known that Warren leaned protectionist like Trump. Tucker freaking Carlson even endorsed Warren's plan not long ago.

Ugh, but will America vote for a Warren/Castro ticket over Trump/Pence?
I’m nervous. She is obviously phenomenal, but I’m not sold on him yet. He’s good on paper, but he’s FLACCID to watch. I liked that he showed some teeth and ripped into Beto (and I’m not going to give him too much credit, since destroying O’Dork is mere child’s play), but I’m not sold on him yet. He doesn’t have that effortless quality to him that I want to see from politicians. He’s not great at landing his points, and he’s just kind of awkward to watch. But that can definitely be improved with media training and practice.

If she has another strong debate performance that will definitely help her chances. I have a favorable view of her due to policy specifics she provides.

Excited to see the people who yelled about Tulsi Gabbard getting along with Tucker Carlson freak out when they hear this news. They'll probably take a principled stand and revoke their support for Warren as well, because as we all know, anyone endorsed by anybody on the right is a closeted Trump supporter/Nazi who loves dictators.

Warren is one of the only candidates that actually cares about American workers. Yet most blue collar men would vote against her and for the charlatan grifter because she comes off as "elitist". I hate American politics.

I mostly agree but on China I totally disagree . If a nation has waged a trade war against you , you must fight back and make them pay big time for it
