She's such a threat to the power dynamic. There was a billionaire on CNBC named Leon Cooperman who was actually crying in a discussion of her wealth tax and being elected President.

This is why I fear for her Presidential run. I am not afraid of her not appealing to working class and middle class voters because anybody with half a brain knows her plans are good. It's the corporate media, financial class, and richest Americans that are shaking at the prospect of her having more power. They don't fear Bernie and I'll leave it to you to guess why.

From Zuckerburg at Facebook, to Bill Gates, to Wall Street people like Leon Cooperman and Tudor Jones she has these guys very afraid that she will remake society for the middle class and regular Americans. Put it together folks, there is a reason why they're panicking and it's personal interest.

Every billionaire says I have no problem paying more in taxes and yet the tax code keeps shifting more and more taxes away from them and to the middle class. It's totally nonsensical to believe these people.

Her wealth tax probably will not even become reality if she becomes President. These people need to take some of their fortune and buy a reality check.

Oh yes, I feel so sorry for the billionaires and their piles and piles of money. They may have to decide between a new Ferrari or a new yacht instead of getting both! *gasp of horror*

It's not her ability to tax them in the short term that worries the billionaire-class. It's that she will introduce a lot of ideas that are not billionaire-friendly into the public awareness. If she wins, heck if she just gets the nomination, she's going to move the Overton Window (and the Democratic Party) away from "billionaires are awesome and we should encourage them" and towards "we don't need billionaires, and having them isn't in the public interest".

That's a pretty good point. Though they said that about Obama too before he was elected. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Warren will be much more principled on how she intends to treat billionaires, but when it comes down to it, they're still going to be billionaires. Their entitlement to sympathy is beyond irrational and unnecessary to their lives.

I think it's actually simpler than that. They saw what she did with the CFPB and they know she'll do the same with all the executive administrative agencies.

People may not run away from her because of muh SOCIALISM but she will lose a few key marginal votes because her desire is to be #woke as possible to the white college professors. Sure does Sanders believe the same stuff as Warren on most issues? Yeah. But he isn't as undesirable to the Upper left quadrant which is where the vast majority of swing voters are.
I dont get why atlas keeps saying Warren cant be weaker than Biden or Bernie.

Black women are a decently sized voting bloc who are 98% Democratic. Turning them out is going to be important for any Democrat. I think we would all be better off with less racially polarized politics, yes. But as it is, this group has earned the respect they get from Democratic politicians.

But the marginal black voters, the ones who came out for Obama and maybe even HRC but who are not guaranteed votes in 2020, are mostly younger black men.

Which happens to be the group with abnormally high Trump support.

I recall a poll or two that showed Trump support among under 30 black men as high as 15% or so, but 2018 exits showed that older black voters were more Republican by a point or two.

That's normal. Obama warped the expectations because he got support in the low 90s with black male voters and high 90s with black women.
A normal Democrat usually gets in the high 80s black support and it's a bit lower with black men, who also turnout less or are disenfranchised at higher rates. Black women still supported Clinton in the 90s and have been supporting Democrats in recent election with great margins. They really are the best Democratic voters and The Democratic Party should reward this loyalty with leadership positions in the power structure and policy that benefits the black community.

Favorite part:

Quote
This week, billionaire investor Leon Cooperman was brough to tears on live TV, as he took exception to a series of Warren tweets directed his way, following his own harsh words for her.

Mm, I'm not so sure. I think differential turnout is likely the culprit here.

Looks like someone's a little testy when they have to go off-script.  Seriously...this is a bad look for her to act so defensive, evasive, and just downright nasty.  If she's this way with a fellow progressive, how's she going to handle DONALD TRUMP?!
