Elizabeth Warren is just not presidential material to me. Outside of the whole Native American stuff, she comes off as a nerdy professor. Coincidentally, that's exactly what she was before entering politics.

I like most of what she is proposing but she's just not electable. Also, she's not going to get even close to winning the primary.

She's the opposite of Trump, and that's what Democratic primary voters want.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL. Don't make me laugh.

Most.primary polls show that most Democratic primary voters don't care about Warren.

She should be realistic, there is no precedent for a setting president being arrested and the likelihood that he's removed from office in any other way besides losing the election are slim to none.

Nor does there seem to be a precedent for a corrupt psychopathic president as there is now.

Of all the potential nominees, she'd probably be the best president.  Unfortunately, I don't think she's the best candidate.  It's a shame that the ability to govern and the ability to politic so often diverge.

Call me crazy, but wouldn't that give Warren a significant boost? She's got a higher national profile than almost any other candidate aside from Biden and Bernie.

What is with your irrational hatred of anything left wing? The second anyone criticises Harris, you jump out at them as if they're Satan.

And not coincidentally, they're the ones ahead of her in the polls.  Besides, people know Warren in a different way.  Biden and Sanders have both run national campaigns and have spent years collecting constituents.  Warren, despite her celebrity, has been a distant figure from voters, on the television and the talk shows but not on the ballot.  Don't over-read the polling at this early stage.

This is one of the things I always say and sound like a broken record with. And it's always true to the detriment of Democrats and the country as a whole. Gore, Clinton, and possibly Warren all exemplify this.

This. I feel like Warren has the best economic policy for someone like me, but with her brings a load of anti-Native and racist rhetoric that will serve as a distraction from Trump's gross incompetence and corruption. It sucks.

Trump's going to run a racist, xenophobic, and extremely ignorant campaign regardless of the nominee. So, I wouldn't let that factor into the equation. I highly doubt Warren will actually lose voters over this issue; anyone who's willing to vote for Trump over Warren's Native American ancestry controversy would almost certainly vote for him regardless of the Democratic candidate.

This is true, but besides the racism, he will use this to foster an image that Warren is corrupt, untrustworthy, and has no credibility. These type of things thrive among low information voters and I don't mean Trump acolytes, I mean passive voters who will vote Dem if they bother but can be easily swayed into cynicism towards a candidate.

Hatred of anything left wing? What are you talking about?

I'm a liberal so I don't hate the left wing. You make no sense. I'm just sensible about Warren's chances.

Also, what you said regarding my support of Harris is not true. Even though, she is my pick so far. I do have my problems with her and I have made them known. However, I do notice that some people on here view her as Satan because "hur derp she was a cop/prosecutor" or "hur derp she's a neoliberal centrist establishment Dem" or "hur derp she's the female Obama but worse" or "hur derp she's the Black Hillary Clinton".

Those criticisms are just ridiculous and I will say so.

Proposing a patently unconstitutional wealth tax this early in the campaign doesn't exactly indicate she's a serious thinker. Taxes on assets instead of income are direct taxes and thus unconstitutional unless apportioned among the States on the basis of their electoral votes. That's never going to happen.

About the only way I could see something like this being constitutional would be as a prepayment of estate tax. (The estate tax is not a direct tax because it doesn't tax the assets a person holds but those that are being transferred from the dead person.

Yeah and that someone is you.

By any standard definition, liberals are slightly left of centre at best and right-wing at worst, unless you work for Fox News and use "liberalism" as a catch all for any party to the left of Republicans.

Any thoroughly left-wing movement, be it democratic or revolutionary socialism, anarchism, left libertarianism, etc., is opposed to liberalism in all its forms, and liberals don't usually think highly of those movements either

NF, I think the disconnect here is that Atlas generally uses liberal in the more international sense (radical centrism), rather than the American sense.

I’m going to continue to back Tulsi with my funds and time because I think her message is so critically important, but if I had to choose right now between any of the major candidates and Warren, I’d be with Warren for sure.

COLUMBIA, SC
A Columbia native who led Hillary Clinton’s S.C. campaign during the 2016 election now is working on another national Democrat’s 2020 campaign in the Palmetto State.

Alycia Albergottie has been hired as the state director for U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s run in the first-in-the-South primary, the Warren campaign announced on Monday.

Warren, a progressive from Massachusetts, has also hired two former staffers for Alabama Democrat Doug Jones, who surprisingly won a 2017 special election to the U.S. Senate in a deep-red state. Ebenezer Abolarin, regional field director for Jones’s campaign, will be Warren’s state organizing director. Same Coleman, Jones’s former press secretary, will be Warren’s communications director in South Carolina.
