I'd like to go with the Kingdom of Sardinia in that case! Since I'm new at these as well; it should be a good way to learn.

It seems the opening write-up is actually referencing the Seven Years War and the loss of New France, but I could be mistaken.

It is, as France was still feeling the effects of the Seven Years War years after it ended, such as war reparations and the several famines the country went through as well as a very bruised morale across the remnants of its empire.

Sorry everyone, real life catching up hard, going to have to withdraw. Sure an excellent Great Britain will soon emerge, but my apologies for disappointing.

I would actually count rulers from this time period rather than a pretender, as they're a character, though depending on Great Britain's actions, there might be a crisis involving him.

Well characters can be really fun for roleplay to be honest.

DKrol and I would like to inquire as to the availability of Lord North, Prime Minister of the UK. As the predominant Superpower of this time, I think DKrol could use the help, and I'd love to serve as His Majesty's Loyal Government. I think this would be more interesting and beneficial to the game than Sardinia.

DKrol I’ve always enjoyed our duels (if I’ve  hoped we might one day succeed in allying) and I love the Stuart’s, but if you feel differently I will with regret stay out of it.

I'll have some consideration. Again, I just don't want to unlock characters on the first turn and at the same time, you can do things that will get you more involved in the game, like begin a conflict in Italy for Unification or begin Colonizing bits of Africa.

Alright, just posted the Player Situations. I'll add in armies, manpower, and navies asap. Typing the situations took a lot from my hands energy though, so expect it in a few days.

Well it was more going to be like a Co-Player situation; but since you've already written up an awesome opening for everyone (thank you!!) I'll stick with my mighty little Sardinia for now. ; P

Alright then and thanks for calling the opening awesome. I hope to continue to impress as the game goes forward.
