https://www.salon.com/2020/09/08/thom-tillis-staffer-tells-cancer-survivor-that-people-only-deserve-health-care-if-they-can-afford-it/

Tillis is already very vulnerable, so this doesn't help him. I do appreciate the staffer's honesty, though. Republicans really do feel that if you can't afford to buy into for-profit medical coverage, you deserve to die. That is their entire healthcare platform.

Cunningham pitches to the anti-vaxx crowd:

A) it's not the anti-vax crowd
B) people need to stop acting like this is some type of scandal. polls even show a majority of the American public is skeptical about a vaccine b/c of Trump literally ratf**king every single god damn agency and organization in this entire country.

This is clearly a "Trump administration will push a vaccine that's not ready" pitch

Also, the original tweeter is being dishonest. She says that he said he wouldn't when literally in the next line of the tweet he says he's "hesitant"

With Trump running ads promising a vaccine by Election Day it is wise to be skeptical if any vaccine should be released before then. The anti-vaccination crowd is against vaccines that have long been proven safe.

From the debate today:

At least neither seem like they are currently addicts, but NGL, Tillis's answer was a bit creepy.

Watching the debate right now, and Cunningham looks so much younger than Tillis. For some reason I thought he was like 60 but apparently he's 47. It's good to have younger voices in the senate, so that makes me glad.

Well, yeah, Cunningham's 13 years younger than Tillis, so that shouldn't be surprising.

Yep. Cunningham seems like a perfect for NC. Same with Greenfield for IA, Harrison for SC, and Kelly for AZ. Recruiting was pretty damn good this cycle.

I think it's more that Democrats recognize how important this race is to taking the Senate than it is that Cunningham himself is a great candidate. He's not necessarily a bad candidate, but this has more to do with taking the Senate than anything else.

Yes, I think NC is going to be the tipping point senate seat for Dem control.  I'm glad they are donating strategically.  However, the amount of money going to McGrath and Harrison over (justified) rage toward McConnel and Graham is wasteful, at least it's certainly wasteful in the case of McGrath.  Harrison remains to be seen I suppose.
