I get not liking McGovern, but I don't get how anyone could vote for Nixon (with hindsight) given that he tried to cover up the Watergate break-in. He's the only president who ever had to resign from office.

To Republicans, the law is only the law when it protects them, it isn't necessary to follow it when it hurts their opponents.

Without hindsight I'd be all in for Nixon. McGovern represented a turn away from good working class unions.

I put the job above Scandals. Even with Hindsight, I'm all for Nixon. However, if the Ds nominated someone a little less ultraliberal, like maybe Carter, then my vote would go to him.
