Those are all terrible ideas.  Can we please stop pretending that Biden wouldn't choose Kamala Harris as his running mate?  She's the only reasonable choice.

Trump's campaign would have a field day if Harris were Biden's running mate

They'd replay their debate exchanges

Is Harris qualified to be VP? Yes.

Would Harris be the best choice for Biden, strategically, if he were the nominee? No.

If Joe Biden selects a Democrat as his running mate, I'll vote for him. It will be a reluctant vote, but a reluctant vote is still a vote.

If Joe Biden selects a Republican as his running mate, I will not vote for him. Washington state will still vote for him - but he will lose the election by a wider margin than anybody thought possible if he makes this decision.

I hope Biden picks his running mate soon because this thread has just about run its course.

Any longer and this will become another "Bernie Bros Are Stupid" thread

A lot of Democrats haven't gotten the memo that the nomination has already been decided, that they won, and that they should get over it. They have more contempt for the left wing of their party than they do their actual opponents, the Republicans.

The 40-year cycle, if it continues, means one of two things will happen

46 - President Joe Biden (D-DE) (2021-2025)
47 - President Kamala Harris (D-CA) (2025-2033)
48 - Moderate Republican (2033-2041)

or

46 - President Joe Biden (D-DE) (2021-2029)
47 - Vice President Kamala Harris (D-CA) (2029-2033)
48 - Moderate Republican (2033-2041)

Either way, I expect Harris will become President after Biden.
