The "you" part was a joke, obviously. That doesn't mean the part about having picked a running mate was.

I'm sure the campaign will release a short statement if he was really joking the first part.

Called it (here's Biden press secretary):

Biden/Doocy 2020 !

Doocy looks quite masculine for a woman though.

It’s official! Joe Biden has selected Kamala Harris, according to a California Democratic Party official on NPR just now.

Stop making things up.

Biden is obviously joking around lol.

I figured the “you” was obviously a joke but he might’ve been serious about having made a decision

See the above posts lol. Biden's national press secretary confirms that Biden was 100% joking.

As a Michigander, I would not at all be upset at Whitmer “leaving the state.” I’m pretty sure that won’t be a problem; it’s like she’s getting a promotion, we’d be proud.

Besides, it’s not like there’s a campaign to get to, she can still mostly govern the state. If she has to leave, there’s a competent Lt gov waiting.

That may be, but I would still be much more comfortable if she were to stay in Michigan for the duration of the pandemic and see it through, and win a second gubernatorial term in 2022, before seeking the Democratic presidential (or vice-presidential) nomination.

Harris has risen again, Rice has fallen, and Whitmer has come up with her news of meeting with Biden, per betting odds.

Once again though, not sure why they'd leak *just* Whitmer meeting up with him, unless she was a red herring.

Harris 42.1%
Rice 24.1%
Whitmer 12.1%
Demigns 4.2%
Warren 4.1%
M. Obama 3.7%
Duckworth 3.2%
Bass 2.5%

I don’t think Whitmer is a leak as a red herring. Seems like it could be the real deal. Hard to argue against a popular swing state Governor

I'm not for Whitmer but no, she very much does have more experience than Sarah Palin did when McCain chose her.

Whitmer has more experience and is far more polished than Palin. That's an unfair comparison.

Not sure why you keep ignoring this point,  but I'll repeat it...actual years on the job don't matter as much as what you've actually experienced in your tenure.  Palin never had to manage a crisis...Whitmer has. I know you favor Kamala (and Whitmer isn't even my first choice...Warren is), but that doesn't mean every other candidate is terrible.

Seems WAY too low for Duckworth, right?
