Well, it may be coming today so hopefully everyone is ready. I have no sources or anything, just a hunch that Biden would make the pick either today or next Saturday, as many others have speculated.

As a Michigander, I would not at all be upset at Whitmer “leaving the state.” I’m pretty sure that won’t be a problem; it’s like she’s getting a promotion, we’d be proud.

Besides, it’s not like there’s a campaign to get to, she can still mostly govern the state. If she has to leave, there’s a competent Lt gov waiting.

Whitmer is the type of Democratic female candidate that never emerged in the 2020 primary. Charismatic but not too far to the left to win a general election.
