I can honestly say that Warren's chances have shot up. Remember when people thought Biden was only going to pick either Klobuchar or Harris? Yeah, I remember too.

What in the world makes you think that? If anything, after that CTG interview fiasco, Harris is the clear frontrunner.

Charlamagne was a big cheerleader for Harris during her run.

All I'm saying is that as Klobuchar's chances went way down, Warren's chances have gone up as a result of the backlash against Klobuchar. To be fair, I think Harris is the favorite though I have my reasons why I think Warren isn't as far behind her as many think. My point has nothing to do with the Charlamagne's interview thing. In fact, I'd argue that the Klobuchar backlash increases Harris' chances more than CTG's interview.

She is also white yet I do not see any black activist hating on her or telling Biden not to pick her

Well one thing is that you have to remember that a good chunk of Black activists actually like Warren and even supported her despite not having too high support from Black voters themselves.

Abrams is not getting this, there is zero chance Biden takes someone with her experience level while ahead in the polls. Whitmer is a good substitute for Klobuchar with midwestern voters and just more charismatic in general. I'd make a case it should be Whitmer or Demings instead of any of the mediocre ones who ran for POTUS.

I think picking a Governor is a mistake

It is crazy that we are now living in a day and age where picking someone who actually has the experience to govern and run this County is a bad thing but picking some random senator who has never actually governed or ran anything a day in their life is good thing simply because they excite the base more.

I really do have hope that next generation gets away from electing reality TV show stars and 1 term senators as their leaders. I mean don't get me wrong I like Obama but many of his issues then and trump issues now are that they had No idea how to work with the other side once their party was no longer in power.

many times Biden had to be the one to go over and make deals with the GOP in order to get anything done because of Obama's lack of relationships and experience dealing with many in congress. He did not just struggle with the GOP congress. he also struggled with his own party when It came to passing things like background checks or doing immigration reform.

call me old fashioned but I miss having governors in the white house and If had it my way Biden would actually pick someone who knows how the govern this country for the Next 4 years instead of some flashy senator who does not know what they hell they are doing when they are actually get into the white house

Exactly! I think Whitmer's executive skills and competence has as much, if not more value than her ability to make campaign appearances in Florida in October. Does anyone really think we will have rallies this year? If people see her doing her job, Biden can only benefit. Gilchrist becoming MI Governor is also a benefit to the African-American community that Amy lacks.

Whitmer could make time to give an outdoor DNC speech and then campaign or return to MI as circumstances permit. Don't forget she is already in a swing state and WI, PA are a short trip away. Biden can campaign himself FL, NC, GA, AZ.

How Biden's veep pick will reshape his image

For Biden, the questions are: what story does he want to tell about himself and his candidacy through his selection of a running mate, and where does he think he is strong (or weak) already. Biden's success so far has been based on his unusual ability to appeal to working-class white voters as well as African Americans. However, with seemingly no potential running mate who also appeals to both constituencies, Biden will have to make a choice and decide where he is strong enough on his own that he does not need additional help.
It remains true that for the huge majority of Americans, Biden's choice will have little impact on their vote. Most decided long ago whether or not they want to give Trump another term. However, close presidential elections are won on the margins as undecided voters in a handful of states make up their minds. For those voters, the image and story that the candidates craft are very important -- and for Biden part of that story will be told through his choice of running mate.
