LDPR is not a real party and they don't have a real ideology. They were set up by the KGB to discredit the idea of liberal democracy when it looked like the USSR would hold together, but democratize. Their current role is to test what are the craziest things which can be made mainstream.

Though there you forget about the vaporous enjoyment their leader gets from having been given the best stand-up comedy show in Russia for the last quarter century (alas, of course, taht says more about the state of Russian stand-up comedy). That, by itself, is, actually, worth more than anything else in that franchise.
