Outgoing Atlasian President Jokes About Nuking, Sets Off Panic Across the Globe
Nyman, D.C. - Panic set off both at home and abroad in Atlasia today when outgoing President Weatherboy1102 made a joke about setting off a nuclear weapon in casual conversation outside of his office.
Tensions rose in East Asia, particularly in China and on the Korean peninsula as a result of this news, having just negotiated post-war deals with the current administration and having endured massive casualties in several conflicts in the region.
Atlasia's allies have also found themselves on high alert this evening, knowing very well what would happen as a result if such a mistake is to be made for their troops as well as their relationship with Atlasia going forward.
No comments have been made from the White House or the Weatherboy administration at this time regarding these comments, but it is to the best of the Atlasian Intelligence Community's knowledge that this was more likely to be a poorly executed joke, and not a promise of any action in the final hours of the current administration in power.
