Just want to note that I have several questions but I will refrain until the opening statement as I did with the Deputy GM thread.

Greetings senators. I would like to thank the president for the opportunity that has been presented to me. I'm sure that everyone here knows by now about the lack of an SoIA that has gone on for over a month. Not having the position filled has truly proven harmful to the state of Atlasia, and I am ready to help bring this dark period to a close. Having experience as a regional legislator, representative, and a senator, I have become familiar with a wide array of policy issues. I plan to do the most that I can to make sure that our executive, congress, and regional governments are up to date on pressing matters and I am prepared to hold scheduled briefings. I consider myself a pragmatic, and will always look for the most effective methods to carry out our policy, both in my own duties and as an advisor to the rest of the government. Another one of my goals is to help fill out the president's Domestic Policy Council with qualified individuals of diverse ideology, which unfortunately currently only includes myself, and make sure that meetings are held in regular intervals so that our administration can finally get on track. It's about time that we tackle our lack of progress within the last couple of months, and seeing the importance of the DoIA to this I hope to receive your votes for confirmation. I will of course take any questions from the senate.

One area that Fhtagn was working on and one thing that I made sure to send/forward was signed bills that required action by the SoIA. Beyond this was bills that had a regional component, as well which the SoIA was to then work with the regions to follow up on.


Therefore to begin with my first question is do you plan to assist the regions in following up on federal statutes that have regional components or regional actions that can/need to be taken?

The most important of these laws would be the Lincoln statutory response to the provisions of the Reforming and Regionalizing Public Health Care Act, particularly on the questions of who is to be on their exchange and whether coverage should be mandated or not. Is this an issue that you plan to prioritize?

Lastly, when it comes to follow up/implementation federally of laws and such do you foresee the possibility of getting GM feedback on these measures as to their effect and consequences?

This is indeed important to ensuring that the regions keep up with their obligations and that our government programs operate as intended. I will make sure that regional leaders are always kept up to date on legislation which requires their action and will always be open to advising them.

It is always important to know what our legislation does and I have no issue going to the GM office for support, as what they say is official. Being knowledgeable about the effects of our legislation always helps when it comes to implementing them in the best ways possible.
