You never answered my question - What religious right wingers would he have pandered to? This is New Jersey, Scoonie

There are religious right-wingers in every state, you dolt.

And so why would he pander to a group even when they are the minority? And don't bring up the primary because, like I said, this is not South Carolina. He didn't pander to win a nomination.

Because he needs their votes. They certainly won't vote for him based on his abortion stance.

He had to throw them at least one bone.

So he really needed the very small religious right population on his side?

1) He didn't get their votes in the primary no matter what so your argument, like usual, falls apart.

2) In the general, he really doesn't need their support to win. They make up a very small amount of the electorate.

Definitely. In a state like New Jersey, he needs every Republican vote he can manage to be competitive.

Yeah, just like when Christie Whitman lost her Gubernatorial races...oh wait...

I hate to sound so arrogant but you are just so dumb.

The Religious Right and the social issues they champion were nowhere near as prominent back than as they are now.
