1. Steve Bullock
2. Beto O'Rourke
3. Kamala Harris
4. Tammy Duckworth
5. Tammy Baldwin

*Sherrod Brown would have been number two if DeWine wasn't Ohio's Governor-elect.

It seems like Bullock and Beto have become popular lately. I think that if the dems want a chance at winning, they should go with Beto lol

Elizabeth Warren would have been my choice a couple months ago, but her absurdly botched handling of her genetic testing for her heritage made me rethink things.

1. Beto O'Rourke
2. Kamala Harris
3. Sherrod Brown
4. Amy Klobuchar
5. Tammy Duckworth

Any one of these shakes up the narrative and gives a sense of freshness and renewal to the Democratic Party, albeit in different ways.

The extreme adoration over Beto is a bit much, but I wouldn't NOT support him.

1. Kamala Harris
2. Tammy Baldwin (but she's not gonna run)
3. Steve Bullock (perfect VP for Kamala)
4. Beto (I guess. He doesn't do much for me)
5. Biden

I can't comprehend why all lists feature O'Rourke. He was defeated by Cruz, and to be defeated by such a dull person is a disgrace. O'Rourke promised to run a positive campaign but actually during debates resorted to personal insults using Trump's label "Lyin Ted".

He has experience and progressive credentials, and 2014 wasn't a typical year. Abercrombie would be a strong candidate to take on Trump.

Why did he lose so badly anyway?

Main things were, 1) bad PR from a hurricane press conference and 2) appointed Brian Schatz instead of Colleen Hanabusa, who Daniel Inouye had wanted, to the Senate.

Not by much. Anyway, disrespecting Inouye was a bad move.

...He was running in Texas.  Got the highest percentage of any Democrat running statewide since Ann Richards lost in '94, and more raw votes than Hillary Clinton in a midterm year.  He was never expected to beat Ted Cruz, but no one really believed he would keep the loss under five points either.

He is now the most powerful Texas Democrat despite being unemployed in two months, and now he's free to do what he otherwise wouldn't have been able to do as a freshman senator.  My king is alive.
