Obviously Menendez's race to lose. Not sure what Cook was thinking.

Paging Admiral President

As someone with a senator that I hate who will nonetheless inevitably be reelected tomorrow in the form of Ted Cruz, I can tell you that it’s a lot easier to just accept fate ahead of time. Cheers.

Eh. I don't think this will end up being 15 pts. Probably like 7-10.

I sorta thought it was gonna end up like this. A race may look kind of competitive earlier in the year, but ends up being no where near close. I think Menendez wins by 11-13 though.

That Menendez + 15 Poll is nonsense.

We’re gonna need a Menendez “Deal With It” meme when he wins by double digits tomorrow

But I thought this race was totally competitive and not a foregone conclusion!!!

I’m no Menendez fan, I wish he had retired, but he’s going to win. End of story.

Fun trivia: if Menendez indeed wins by 15, it will be the biggest landslide in a NJ senate race the last 30 years, after his own 20 points victory in 2012.

It looks like Menendez might win by low double digits after all. What a shame. Even though I know he has no chance of losing, not in this environment, I was hoping that Hugin would at least hold him to a single-digit margin. Polarization seems to be winning out again, as it has in Tennessee and North Dakota, among other states.

So, you're telling me that Hugin running on his support for Brett Kavanaugh and contrasting his supposed moderate hero credentials was a bad idea, while Menendez simultaneously runs by reminding voters about the balance of power in the Senate? No way! Tossup!

Who was the user that said Hugin supporting Kavanaugh was somehow gonna help him with independents?

I'm more mocking the Hugin campaign's tactics here.

For the most part they've been rather consistent (Menendez is a crook!) but he really slipped on supporting Kavanaugh. Perhaps hoping to get more outside support?

Well that's the thing. On the negative side he has been focused on Menendez's ethics issues but when he presents himself positively he does so as a moderate hero that barely even mentions that he's a Republican. Yet, he'll also double-down on supporting the most controversial Supreme Court nominee in decades for some reason. Well, one way or another, he's going to lose, so maybe it isn't even worth talking about anymore.
