I refuse to get my hopes about this because if Bredesen wins he's going to be the Zell Miller/Joe Lieberman of the Democratic majority. I'd rather see this as a good sign for Beto (whether accurately or not.)

I’m sick of sharp partisans of all kind. I think he would be open minded to all good ideas and not oppose a good idea just because it comes from the Republicans BUT at the same time he could not “suck it up” and vote for something he doesn’t want too just to appear tolerable to conservatives BECAUSE he’s unlikely to run for re-election
