This district has a PVI of R+7. It is currently represented by Republican George Holding. 63% of this district is urban, while 37% is rural. It voted for Trump by 9.6% in 2016.

Somewhere between Lean and Likely R. I think this is actually the most likely Republican-held seat in NC to flip, but it's still a very tough lift for Democrats. The only way this seat could become truly competitive is if it gets remapped in 2020.

The state courts have to decide on whether the congressional map will be redrawn, but on the current lines I'd say Likely R for now.
