Technically 24 hour nominating period isn’t over. Nor has there been a formal ballot.

Given that all 4 MPs have made their intentions clear, can we move to a vote already?

Yes, I’ll change the standing orders later retroactively.

So how long until I can start introducing legislation?

Literally anyone from Fremont in Parliament or not can in the Zth Parliament thread.

Don't we have to wait for the speaker to be elected and the standing orders to be agreed to?

No. Only the FM has had say (with a 24 hour object period) in the latter and the former isn’t nessecary although the speaker moves stuff to the floor.

When will my 2 bills be moved to the floor? We already have a free slot, and another slot will be opening up in 3 days time, as the Climate Change Act is currently on final vote.

Once the 8th Parliament stuff is out of the way. Probably in around a week or so.

But we already have an open slot, and another slot about to open.

The last slot is reserved for citizen initiatives iirc.

Not anymore no.

If the speaker wishes he can use the full slots but if in his view there is too much going on, that's up to him.

Nice to see Fremont actually being active again.

To my pleasant surprise, yes. I thought for sure there'd be no activity and I'd have to write all the bills and in a month, I'd be forced to call a snap election and come begging to you for candidates.

We were basically able to do this without a new thread. Consider this withdrawn.

Nay as it curtails a Mathew27-esque situation.

FTR no formal vote has been opened by the speaker. I jumped the gun on the headers a bit.

Is it finally gonna happen? Are we going to have a reasonable drinking age? Cheesy

I flipped on this issue recently so yes. It was previously 19 though not 21.

He could have just posted it here as he’s a registered citizen of Fremont.

I mean it could just be brought to the floor without going through this thread, no?

As of right now, that’s the job of the speaker and I’d be worried about creating too much clutter and also fear it’d be too much for the body to handle.
