I mean, albums where you think every song is good, not even one is bad or meh. Everyone has some right? I can think of a few.

- "Pure Heroine" by Lorde.
- "Ultraviolence" by Lana Del Rey.
- "Ignite the Night" by Chase Rice.
- "Badlands" by Halsey.
- "True" by Avicii. RIP you legend.

Add some!

And my more obscure pick:

I looked at my personal collection of vinyl and CDs. The trick was not necessarily to find the best, but ones where I couldn't point to a track I would just skip over.

Ella Fitzgerald sings the Cole Porter Songbook 1956
Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Beatles 1967
A Night at the Opera, Queen 1975
Graceland, Paul Simon 1986

“Stranger Days” by The Doors, “Who’s Next” by The Who, and “Random Access Memoroes” by Daft Punk all come to mind. The most recent one I know of is, of course, “Woodstock” by Portugal. the Man.

Lifetime -"Hello Bastards" and "Jersey's Best Dancers".
Rites of Spring - "End on End"
Explosions in the Sky -"The Earth is not a Cold, Dead Place"
La Dispute - "Wildlife"
An honorable mention for the Cap'n Jazz LP. It has one TERRIBLE track ("Bluegrassish") but the rest is pure flawless, and I removed that track from my playlist on my computer.

I dated a girl who really liked La Dispute back in like, 2013. I completely forgot about them until you mentioned them.

Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited (1965)
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours (1977) ***strong candidate for the best year for music in living memory, especially for the kind of music that Atlas tends to like***
Steely Dan - Aja (1977)

The closest answers so far, although I prefer Countdown to Ecstasy over Aja. Desolation Row itself is one of the best songs ever written.

Rumours is probably the album with the most beloved songs, rivaled only perhaps by Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen and the first half of Moondance by Van Morrison, both of which I would consider near perfect.

I can only think of a few albums which are closer to perfect:

The Band - Music from Big Pink
The Band - The Band
Van Morrison - Astral Weeks
Van Morrison - Tupelo Honey
The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground
Bruce Springsteen - Darkness on the Edge of Town

I'm just working from memory here so this is biased towards albums I've recently heard. Nothing that unconventional on here either. Excluding any albums already mentioned I have

New Order - Technique

Pet Shop Boys - Introspective

Pusha T - DAYTONA

Madvillain - Madvillainy
(Shocked I'm the first to bring this up. I thought all edgy teens past a certain age knew about this.)

Big Black - Atomizer

Mission of Burma - Vs.

Serge Gainsbourg - Histoire de Melody Nelson

Art Of Noise - Who's Afraid of the Art of Noise?

Moses Sumney - Aromanticism

Sheena Ringo - Kalk Samen Kuri no Hana
(This album is incredible, but don't google what the title translates to.)

Right now I'm in a phase where I'm catching up on 60s folk/rock, but going through a whole album of that music is still tough for me.

How has nobody mentioned "Thriller?!"

Thriller is a great album, and really defined the post-disco sound (along with The Jacksons' Triumph), but that Paul McCartney collaboration is really naff. Offensively bad.
